logo-white.gifJumpBox was founded in 2006 to make the deployment and management of server software dramatically easier. It continues on that path by delivering an inexpensive and simple way to evaluate and deploy server software for Mac OS X users. JumpBox’s co-founders, Kimbro Staken and Sean Tierney, explain it best when they say that JumpBoxes make getting these applications up and running “‘drag and drop’ simple,” and as easy as “double-clicking a file.”

The term “marketing” has sure seen its fair share of misuse, misconceptions and incomplete definitions.

When people think of “marketing” they generally think of advertising, public relations, or collateral. These are all important subsets of marketing, but they are tactics, they are not strategic drivers of your company.

Somewhere along the line, three of the “4 P’s” of marketing (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) were forgotten.

Marketing is about increasing sales and cash flow for your company. The danger in having an incomplete definition of marketing is a lack of coordination inside your company, and a lack of clarity and consistency with your target market.

At its core, Marketing is about:

  1. Finding an appropriate market opportunity and understanding the needs of that market
  2. Building products and services to meet those needs
  3. Convincing those people to use your product or service
  4. Doing all of the above profitably

In other words…“Big M” Marketing is about doing business.

“We couldn’t be happier with the strategic marketing services that were provided. We’re a 25 year old company with a solid customer base and steady revenues, and we believed that there was ample opportunity to grow. But we needed an outsider’s perspective to look at our business objectively to make that happen. Bob came in and charted a course for growth, repackaged our offerings and helped us take those to new offerings to market. I look for three things in any partner or vendor: speed, quality and price. Bob really focused on high quality work, our need for speed and his pricing is very fair. I’d highly recommend Zero Hour to any small company looking to take their company to the next level.” - Greg Woodman, CEO, Affinity Connection

“It was Bob’s combination of product management, marketing and strategic thinking that was so critical to A2connect. We’re a start-up e-commerce company, so to us it’s all about acquisition and conversion. Bob put together our Partner Marketing Tool Kit to leverage our partners’ memberships and drive them to the websites. And he led our Internet and e-commerce efforts which increased our conversions right away.” - Bryan Robertson, CEO, A2connect.com

“Our partnership with Zero Hour has greatly accelerated our company’s business launch. Like many tech-start-ups, we were a technology in love with too many markets. Zero Hour was critical in helping us focus our business, leading to two new product lines and increased interest from investors. Bob Wallace has used his experience and extensive networks to land us numerous beta-customers and channel partners, and unlike so many others, he understands the start-up environment. We give Zero Hour a 10/10!” - Kevin Dooley, CEO, Crawdad Technologies, LLC

“Great work - highly recommended.” - Joe Rollinson, N2BID.com

“The Zero Hour team is proactive, motivated and energetic. It has been a pleasure to work with them.” - Vincent Orlando, CEO, TrustedGetaways.com

“I enjoyed working with Zero Hour. Deliverables were provided on-time and according to agreed-upon terms; in fact, they provided more than was contracted for.” - Gene Cornfield, CMO, OurKidsWin.com

“Great company and very willing to work with your ideas and concepts and produce the desired vision.” - FuelBoost
