Robert Wallace, Founder & CEO [LinkedIn] [Blog]
Robert is a seasoned marketer with broad experience in consumer and business branding. He brings over 10 years of experience developing strategy and company positioning, building and organizing teams and resources, bringing products to market, and creating and launching marketing initiatives. Robert actively focuses on clients’ strategic issues, new business development and the marketing execution. He embodies and delivers on the firm’s belief that marketing is more than a pretty logo, a nice brochure and a slick website.

Prior to founding Zero Hour Marketing, Robert was the Director of Marketing at Affinnova, a technology-based market research firm with Fortune 500 clients such as Procter & Gamble, ConAgra, Kimberly-Clark, General Mills and Aéropostale. Robert was the architect of the company’s product and marketing strategy - establishing it as a start-up and positioning it to grow from $0 to over $4.5M in 3 years.

Before Affinnova, he was a Director and Lead Product Manager with Internet Venture Works. While there, Robert led the product efforts at its first portfolio company, FarmandCountry.com (an online subsidiary of Quality Stores, Inc.), developing and managing a 30,000 SKU e-commerce operation and quadrupling sales.

As Director of Retail & New Media Marketing at Airwalk International, a global marketer of footwear, apparel and snowboarding equipment, Robert launched and managed all aspects of the company’s e-commerce operation – from design to fulfillment to customer service and traffic generation. He also led Airwalk’s global, cooperative marketing program, implementing retail solutions with accounts including: Foot Locker, JCPenney and Nordstrom.

Robert holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Political Science from Dickinson College.

Robert is also the Executive Director for TiE-Arizona - a global networking and mentoring organization dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and entrepreneurship.

Jay Brewer - Social Media & Design Technology [www.jaybrewer.com]
Jay has been been working in various areas of design and technology for over 11 years. At Natural Intelligence, Inc., he helped to design the interface of the first Java development environment for the Macintosh. As a product designer at Hands On Toys, he won more than 10 awards for his work, including Parenting Magazine’s Award for Best Toy of 1997. As the Chief User Interface and Product Designer at Abuzz.com (acquired by New York Times Digital), Jay managed the team that created the award-winning Abuzz.com website, achieving over 1 million users and 20 commercial affiliates. At Affinnova, he created a new way to gain insight into product and graphic design using online consumers to evolve designs. At Turbine, Inc., he was the Lead User Interface Designer on two Massive Multiplayer Online games - Dungeons & Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online. Jay is also the founder of BlogPire Productions - creating category and product niche websites that provide targeted news and information to consumers. In his spare time, he create video games, websites, and music to continue to enrich his art, design, and technology skills.

Amy Mueller, Strategic Communications
Amy Mueller brings extensive experience in public relations and marketing. Her strategic communications skills have helped companies break through a crowded media landscape to effectively deliver their messages to key influencers. Amy spent the early part of her career as a publicist for Simon & Schuster Publishing, developing campaigns for authors including Doris Kearns Goodwin, Charlton Heston, Mario Cuomo, Kinky Friedman and Reggie Miller. She was responsible for helping Stephen Ambrose climb to the top of the NY Times Best Seller List with Undaunted Courage. Amy later took her well-honed media relations skills to DeVries Public Relations in New York, where she developed and executed integrated public relations strategies for major consumer brands including FTD, Tupperware, Fairmont Hotels and Hugo Boss. She led a brand repositioning effort for Tupperware which helped the brand gain relevance with contemporary women, including helping the company make its e-commerce entrée. She also managed public relations programs for FTD, garnering consistent product and brand publicity in national and local media as well as business media coverage for the company’s CEO. Amy later joined Digitas, where she managed new business development for the Boston-based marketing firm, helping to communicate the company’s value and readiness to prospective clients. Amy earned B.A. from Middlebury College in Vermont. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and triplet daughters.

Rebecca Reed, Marketing Manager
Rebecca brings a strong research background and a passion for client service to her role with Zero Hour Marketing. Prior to joining the team, she was with SMS Research in Hawaii, where she conducted Social Economic Impact Assessments for some of the most controversial studies on Oahu, market demand studies, intercept studies, mystery shop studies as well as program evaluations. Before SMS, Rebecca was a project manager at Affinnova, where she worked directly with Fortune 500 companies on over 40 projects totaling $1.5 million in company revenue. She was tasked with designing innovative studies, surveys and reporting results. Rebecca got her start with Market Research Services where she assisted in all facets of focus group planning, execution and reporting for major financial institutions.
